first of all, i wanna say thanks to Eejit, Sam and Magic. you should go give 'em a pageview at least.

somewhere in the deep space, far far away from earth, there is a living planet, similar to ours. Atlantica. water, air, ground, vegetation, living flora, and thinking creatures. like we. with their own progress, their own cities, vehicles, their own LIFE.




ok, so what we have here? well, that's my submission for exotika contest. first one. space is coming soon. i actually can't believe that i've finally submitted it. was working on it too long. still not the best. sorry about the green part, couldn't make it look good.

well, boring quick part: geocontrol terrain, terragen base, c4d modeled city, helicopters, zeppelin, planets/moons in photoshop, out of my own stock textures, everything combined together in the same photoshop.

you should also keep in mind that every pixel here made by me. i mean EVERY. from the top to the bottom, bottom to top. so that's why i wasn't adding birds here: i couldn't take a good photo or find one in my archives.

added trees. it's not a total forest overlay, 'coz it'd involve too much job and this job won't be appreciated. so i made these small forests. trees rendered in Bryce, then multiplied and applied to a surface with photoshop.

seems like that is all. enjoy. i'm out.

you're right. trees are a scale object. ya know, everyone knows what is the size of trees in real, so they can feel the scales better.

like what youve done here - overall its very nice on my eyeballs - i agree with the comment about the city - its too clean - but i'm guessing you wanted it that way?? - also maybe its that the reflections are too straight ??? i wouldnt change the moons - they look sweet - the trees look good but a bit computer generated - y'know what i mean - anyway i did this cos of your journal entry so there ya go!!

now i see that i could done better with the city. if i'd be doing it now, i would add some tech-style bumps on them. but re-rendering the city again is worthless.
tress do look computer generated. it's the fault of bryce. 3dsm makes trees better, but my computer can't handle it.
